Evgeniya is back to school!She has just performed the role of Prince in Massenet's Cendrillon on the stage of the Temple Opera Theater. Evgeniya will be singing there again in April 2025 with the role of Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni.

Mezzo-soprano "falcón" Evgeniya Khomutova is now studying at The Boyer College of Music and Dance, Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the 2024-2025 season she will be performing the roles of Le Prince Charmant in Massenet's Cendrillon and Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni.She completed her participation in the 'Centre de Perfeccionament' Placido Domingo at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, Valencia, 2019-2021. On the stage of Palau de les Arts she has performed Tisbe in La Cenerentola, Silvia in L’isola disabitata, Modestina in Il Viaggio a Reims, Zweite Magd in Elektra, La Marchande de Journaux in Les Mamelles de Tiresias, and has worked with conductors such as Christopher Moulds, Roger Vignoles, Emilio Sagi and Marc Albrecht. She is a featured artist on the 2020 album ‘Vincerò!’ by Polish tenor Piotr Beczała.In 2019 Evgeniya coached with Silvana Bartoli in Salzburg at the invitation of the Cecilia Bartoli Foundation. Also that year she has recorded the contemporary piece of music 'Malenkiy Teatr', an opus written for mezzo and chamber orchestra, composed and conducted by Mark Mitzkevich.Evgeniya began her 2018/2019 season as a member of Gstaad Vocal Academy led by Silvana Bartoli and was a participant of Masterclasses of Irena Sylya of Opera Panama in Jáchymov. Other projects included works such as The Debussy Centenary at the Russian Orthodox Cultural Centre in Paris and other performances.In 2017/2018 season Evgenia joined a vocal ensemble from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The result of this work was a tour of the United Kingdom, consisting of 53 concerts, and the recording of an album of Russian sacred music. In the same season she performed the role of Flora Bervoix in Verdi’s La Traviata with the youth opera staged project La Boheme.Evgeniya’s 2016/2017 season started at St. Petersburg Conservatoire Theatre which was a significant year for her. Aside from making her debut with the role of Marta in the Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta, she recorded 'Pesni iz lesa', a contemporary song cycle for mezzo and grand piano, composed by Dmitry Elyseykin.Evgeniya graduated from St. Petersburg State Conservatoire. She has studied voice for more than fifteen years, including at the Samara State Musical College and Samara School of Arts.Evgeniya has received awards from The XXXVIII «Ciudad de Logroño» International Vocal Competition, The V Shtokolov International Vocal Competition, The XXIII Kabalevsky International Vocal Competition, The I Orlov International Vocal Competition.
